F. Kugel report the discovery of an apparent supernova (17.2 R) on images (limiting magnitude 18.0) obtained on October 30.83 UT with a 0.2-m SC telescope + CCD SBIG ST2000XM camera + r'filter at Banon 04, France. The new object is located at A.R. = 01 18 15.60, Decl. = +15 05 58.8 (equinox 2000.0, astrometry with respect to USNO-SA2 stars) which is 12 arcsec east and 2 arcsec north of the center of Galaxy 2MFGC 973. A confirming image was obtained on October 31.52 by A. Klotz, D. Turpin (IRAP-CNRS-OMP), D. Coward and J. Moore (UWA) using the Zadko robotic telescope (D=100cm) located at the observatory - Gingin, Australia. Magnitude 17.3 g' filte
